Remember these cute, quick fingerless gloves I made last year? Well, I am still wearing (and loving) them a year later but I really wanted to spice them up a bit!
I’ve been wanting to learn to duplicate stitch, a means of adding color and pattern to knitting, for a while now after a failed attempt in my early days of knitting. I came across this great duplicate stitch tutorial and fell in LOVE with the image on the post, but couldn’t find a source image or pattern anywhere. So I got to work and recreated it myself on the backs of my fingerless gloves, and I couldn’t be more excited with the final result.
For the fingerless gloves, I originally used Patons Classic Wool Yarn in natural mix and for the duplicate stitching I used Caron Simply Soft in pumpkin and black. I did quite a bit of searching before finding an orange that was really the foxy color I was going for and complemented the existing oatmeal color!
